Changes to Vyne Dental and Dentrix Compatibility
What's going on with Vyne Dental and Dentrix

At 323 Technologies, we’re dedicated to keeping your dental practice’s technology running smoothly and efficiently. Recently, we’ve received important updates from mutual clients about communications from Henry Schein One (HS One) regarding the compatibility of Vyne Dental’s solutions with Dentrix. Here’s what’s happening, why it matters, and how we can help you stay ahead.

What’s Happening with Dentrix and Vyne Dental?

We’ve learned that HS One has announced a potential Dentrix update, possibly effective as early as August 26, 2025, that could disrupt your ability to submit claims through Vyne Dental. Currently, Vyne Dental empowers thousands of practices with a reliable print-based integration method for claims submission, similar to e-fax or PDF tools. However, HS One’s communications suggest they plan to limit Dentrix integrations to only those within their Dentrix Developer Program (DDP).

Since March 2025, Vyne Dental has been working to join the DDP, but the program prohibits alternative integration methods, including Vyne’s existing print-based solution. Unfortunately, the DDP doesn’t yet provide all the data needed for seamless claims submission, which could impact your practice’s workflow.

Why This Matters for Your Practice

Following HS One’s acquisition of DentalXChange, it appears they’re steering Dentrix users toward their proprietary eServices and DentalXChange platforms. At 323 Technologies, we believe this move could reduce your practice’s options and increase reliance on a single vendor, potentially affecting:

Practice Independence: Limiting your choice of tools restricts your ability to customize workflows that suit your practice.

Operational Reliability: Single-vendor dependency can be risky, as seen during disruptions like the Change Healthcare outage.

Regulatory Compliance: Restricting interoperability may conflict with the spirit of the 21st Century Cures Act’s Information Blocking Rule, which promotes open data sharing.

As your trusted IT partner, we’re committed to ensuring your practice maintains secure, flexible, and patient-focused solutions.

What You Need to Know

Here’s how you can navigate these changes with confidence:

  1. Claims Submission Will Continue: Vyne Dental offers alternative workflows beyond its print-based method and is actively developing new Dentrix-compatible solutions. We’ll ensure

you receive clear, step-by-step guidance through Vyne Trellis (or the Remote Lite web portal) based on HS One’s final actions.
