IT support for DFW construction firms
IT support for construction companies that cannot pause the job.
Construction firms run between the office, the field, subcontractors, and project owners. When files, phones, or a jobsite connection fail, the delay is on the schedule — not in a ticket queue. 323 Technologies supports contractors across Southlake and Dallas–Fort Worth so the crew is not waiting on IT.
The business problem
Office IT and field IT are rarely the same environment. The trailer has a different internet vendor. Superintendents carry their own laptops. Drawings live in email because SharePoint was never set up for how the field actually works.
A downed VPN or a lost device is not an inconvenience. RFIs stall. Pay apps wait. The office cannot see what the site needs until someone drives in.
Most IT companies were built for a single office with desks. They treat a jobsite like a remote employee and a superintendent laptop like a desktop that should have stayed in Grapevine.
- Temporary jobsites with fragile internet
- Large files that never arrive on site
- Phones and laptops that walk off the job
- Office and field on different systems
- No one to call when the trailer is dark
- Multiple locations, multiple vendors, no standard
Technology failures in construction delay the project. That is the business impact — not a slow email.
Why this happens
The environment was designed for an office. The work happens on dirt, in a trailer, and in a pickup.
Each jobsite is invented from scratch
A new project gets a hotspot, a leftover PC, and a hope that last job’s VPN still works. There is no repeatable kit for standing up a site.
Devices outnumber desks
Phones, tablets, and laptops leave every morning. If they are not managed, a lost device is a lost drawing set and a way into email.
Files are too big for “just email it”
Plans, photos, and models choke consumer sharing. The field then keeps copies that never make it back to the office of record.
Vendors stop at the office door
The IT company will reset a password in Southlake. They will not own the circuit in the trailer or the laptop in Keller.
How 323 Technologies supports construction
We support how the work actually moves: office, field, and the next site you open.
Mobile workforce support
Superintendents and PMs get working logins, devices that can be wiped if they walk, and a number that answers during the job — not only after 5 in the office.
- Device standards
- Remote access that holds up in the field
- Fast replacement when hardware fails
Jobsite connectivity
A trailer is a temporary office. We treat it that way: internet, Wi-Fi, and a known way back to company files.
- Site stand-up as a repeatable job
- Failover when the circuit dies
- Guest access that is not the company network
Files and communication
Microsoft 365 can work in construction if someone owns Teams, sharing, and where the current set lives. We set that pattern so the field is not inventing folders per job.
- A home for drawings and RFIs
- Sharing rules for owners and subs
- Less “email me the PDF”
One standard across jobs and offices
Two yards and six jobsites should not mean six IT stories. The same support, the same security, the same way to open a site.
- Named team for the company
- Vendor coordination for internet and phones
- Documentation that survives the superintendent who left
What construction IT includes
- Office and field support
- Microsoft 365 for project communication
- Mobile device management
- Jobsite network stand-up
- VPN and remote access
- Security on devices that leave the yard
- Backup of the office of record
- Vendor coordination
Why contractors choose 323
They need a team that already assumes the work is not happening at a desk.
What they were living with
- IT that only understands the main office
- Jobsites left to the superintendent’s personal hotspot
- Lost devices with company email still open
- No one accountable when the trailer is offline
What they wanted instead
- A repeatable way to open a site
- Field devices that can be locked or replaced
- Files the office and the job can both find
- One team for every location
Keep the project moving. We take the technology that used to live in someone’s truck.
Construction IT questions
Do you come to jobsites, or only the office?
Both. Southlake is home base. We go on-site across Dallas–Fort Worth when the trailer, the yard, or a new office needs a person. Remote when a login or device can be fixed without a drive.
Can you support multiple yards and active jobs?
Yes. That is the point of a standard: same access, same security, same way to stand up the next site instead of a new vendor each time.
What about large drawing files and photo sets?
We put them in a Microsoft 365 structure the field can actually use, with sharing that does not dump the current set into personal OneDrive.
A superintendent’s laptop walked off the job. Now what?
If the device is in our management, we can cut access and protect email. If it was a personal PC with company files, we still close the account and talk through what was on it.
Do you replace our internet vendor at the trailer?
We coordinate them. You should not have to diagnose whether it is the circuit, the firewall, or the laptop before anyone will help.
We already have an IT person at the office. Can you cover the field?
Yes. Many contractors keep someone for the yard and use us for jobsites, Microsoft 365, and after-hours. Someone still has to own the whole picture — that can be us alongside them.
